Potential deliverables
Start with a free 15-minute discovery call. We will discuss your project goals, current setup, scope, timeline, and cost, then agree a written proposal before any work starts.
this agreed-scope implementation covers one Shopify store and one product-and-collection set agreed in writing before access. I inventory the current values, map the approved category, product type, tag, and collection rules, record protected fields and dependencies, apply only the approved changes, then reconcile representative products and affected collections against the accepted map.
Shopify keeps product category, custom product type, and tags as different catalog controls. Collection membership can also depend on manually selected records, product or variant conditions, another collection, or an app source, depending on the collection model available in the store. I document the live source and rule behavior before changing it instead of assuming that every collection is tag-driven.
Storefront filters are a separate dependency. Product options, category attributes, product type, vendor, tags, and metafields can affect filter choices, but theme compatibility and Shopify Search & Discovery configuration are not included unless accepted in a separate written scope.
- Current-state inventory for the agreed product and collection set, using an export or equivalent record list where available.
- Approved taxonomy map separating product category, custom product type, tags, collection membership or conditions, and known storefront-filter dependencies.
- Pre-change list of affected records, protected fields, dependencies, and rollback or recovery notes appropriate to the accepted method.
- Controlled implementation of the approved category, type, tag, and collection changes for the written scope.
- Representative QA across affected product records and collections, including expected-versus-observed membership and condition checks.
- Changed-record log identifying applied, skipped, blocked, and unresolved items without exposing private customer or order data.
- Visual catalog-control workflow map plus concise handoff notes and one revision inside the accepted cleanup scope.
- Free 15-minute consultation for scope and access fit.
